Professional Christmas light installation in Massachusetts, what it costs, how the process works, and why more homeowners are switching from DIY every year.

What Professional Holiday Lighting Actually Looks Like

If you have ever driven past a house in December and thought "that looks like a magazine", that was almost certainly a professional install. The difference between DIY holiday lights and professional installation is not subtle. Professional lights are commercial-grade LEDs, cut to fit your exact roofline, and hung with clips that keep every bulb perfectly spaced and level.

No sagging sections. No mismatched bulbs. No visible extension cords running across the lawn. Just clean, even light along every edge of the house.

How the Process Works

We measure first. Before ordering anything, we measure your roofline, gutters, windows, columns, and any trees or shrubs you want lit. Every strand is cut to the exact length of the run it covers.

Install day is one day. A two-person crew shows up in the morning and is done by mid-afternoon. You do not need to be home. We photograph every section when we are done.

We maintain all season. If a section goes out, call us. We come back and fix it, usually within 48 hours. During the holidays, we prioritize repair calls.

We take it all down in January. After the holidays, we schedule a takedown visit. We remove everything, store it, and bring it back next year. Same setup, same look.

What Does It Cost in Massachusetts?

A typical colonial in Hingham or Norwell with roofline, columns, and two or three trees runs between $900 and $2,200 for installation. Storage and reinstall in following years is usually lower because the setup is already designed. Most homeowners who switch from DIY never go back, one December without climbing a ladder in the cold sells it.

Scheduling in Massachusetts

We schedule installs from mid-October through Thanksgiving weekend. The best slots, especially for large properties on the South Shore, MetroWest, and East Bay Rhode Island, fill up by early November. If you want your lights up the first week of December, the time to book is October.

Request a quote for this season and we will hold your spot on the schedule.
